Contra Costa County Library Business Connection

October 20th, 2005 | 2 Comments | Posted in Job Search

The Contra Costa County Library now offers a service on their web site called Business Connection. This section of their site is designed to help local entrepreneurs and the small business community connect more easily with the information they need and with each other. There are numerous resources on the site and there are free workshops. What a terrific resource!

Robin, I’m not sure if you know this but the Contra Costa Library system is going WIFI! They are quietly rolling out the the free service and will be announced sometime soon, I’ve been to the library in Concord with my laptop and my iMac desktop to the library to see how it works. The library has a hand out on how to set up your computer to log on to the service.

    Yes, Mike,
I just checked with the branch that’s close to ROP, and they hope to get it early next year. So we are not quite there yet.

Meanwhile, every coffee shop in my neighborhood has free Wi-Fi; I also discovered no fewer than three unsecured wireless connections available from my apartment. :-)

    Cordially, David
