My New G6!
For about six months I have been debating on whether to upgrade my “everyday” camera, the Canon G2. I love the Canon series cameras; they’re easy to use and take wonderful photos. I also have a Canon 10D, but in all honesty, it’s very cumbersome. I love to use the 10D for weddings, portraits, my pets, and day outings, but on vacations and for events, lugging all of my gear gets to be a pain in the arse. I find myself usually using the G2 because it’s convenient. The drawback is that it’s only 4.1 megapixels and the large format print quality is not up to par.
So this morning I took the plunge and ordered the Canon G6 and I’m pretty darn excited. I would have gone to the store to buy it, but the model has been discontinued, so I had to settle for ordering online. It should be here on Thursday, just in time for my mini vacation to Tahoe!

A while back David recommended two small programs to me that allow you to view PDF files faster, GhostView and GhostScript. GhostScript is an interpreter for the PostScript language and for PDF. If you have ever opened a PDF file in your browser with Acrobat Reader, you know that they can take a considerable amount of time to open. These two small programs open PDF files in a Flash. They’re absolutely wonderful! They perform the same function as Adobe Acrobat reader, but in a 1/4 of the time. Thanks David!
