Text Pad has a similar facility. From the "view" menu choose "clip library". It normally sits on the left of the code window, but you can move it. Lots more "clips" or "snippets" are available from the TextPad site ("Help" -> "TextPad on the Web")

Like Dreamweaver, you can insert blocks of code, replace text, or wrap code around it.

You can also add to a clip: copy a piece of code and paste it in by right-clicking on the clip window and using "paste". At home I have clips of complete "head" sections, including META tags and DOCTYPE. Also code that I use repeatedly, like the HTML I use to insert a pull quote in my blog.

If you want more info, please ask me. I'll be happy to help.

Thanks Robin for letting us know this useful feature exists in Dreamweaver. It sure saves a lot of typing. (And typos).
