Planning and Redesign

May 16th, 2005 | No Comments | Posted in Design and Layout, Planning & Organization

I mentioned the tutorials at Web Design from Scratch on May 5th. I would like you all to spend some time this week reviewing and analyzing the Redesign Case Studies at their site.

I found a Client Spec sheet (PDF) format that I thought you might find useful when you’re planning a web site. The Web Redesign 2.0 web site is a companion web site for the book The Web Redesign 2.0 | Workflow that Works. I think if you dig around this site you will find a lot of useful planning worksheets. Clocktower Media also has a good Client Redesign Survey.

While we’re on the subject of redesign, India Web Developers has a Website Redesign Guide that you may want to print.

John Marshall’s article Website Redesign Without a Nervous Breakdown discusses redesign from a useability standpoint.

Digital Web Magazine has an older, but still really good, article on Liquid Web Design: Build it right and it will work no matter what the container.

Dmitry’s Design Lab also has a lot of great articles on the design process.
