Got bizarre results with the float version needed for IE5.01 Win; better results with the display: inline-block version. But any padding-left seems to be added to padding-right, giving a large white gap on the right of my design. Adding a padding-right of zero to IE resulted in the correct right-padding!!? Hmm.
