More on Elements

May 10th, 2005 | 1 Comment | Posted in Web Development

Earlier we discussed block level and inline elements. I thought I would follow-up by providing you with a list of these elements:

Block Level Elements
Inline Elements

Note: You can display both strict and non-strict versions of these lists.

Hudson Valley also has a nice XHTML tutorial that outlines block and inline elements.

  1. David Hucklesby Says:

FWIW – The Visibone (X)HTML chart on the classroom wall near your desk indicates block level elements with a cube icon.

You may have noticed that I often refer to this chart. I also have the “popup” version as an Opera panel.

For those that don’t know, Visibone[1] has several references that I find extremely useful. For example, they have a CSS reference similar to the CSS cheatsheet you mentioned in your last entry, but in hard copy. Their site also has a font survey that I find very handy in determining which font families to specify. You are invited to participate in the survey.
