Design Ideas
Ha, you thought you were rid of me! I should be on a plane right now on my way to Canada.
Rebecca asked for more resources on learning elements of design; ask and ye shall receive (sometimes).
Jill Niles gathered a lot of wonderful art and design resources for your review.
The Web Style Guide is a wonderful resource about web design.
I used to enjoy visiting Web Pages that Suck on a daily basis. It’s a site that was started in 1996 by Vincent Flanders and he teaches you how to design effective and aesthetically pleasing web pages. Mr. Flanders reviews a daily sucker where he outlines what “shouldn’t” be done on a web page. He has also compiled a list of The Biggest Web Design Mistakes of 2004. I’m not sure why I ever stopped visiting this entertaining and educational site.
IdeaBook is a place to learn how-to design and market just about anything with honesty, clarity, and style.
Web Design From Scratch has a section devoted to layout and design which includes a lot of useful design examples and techniques.
Recently I found a section of Virginia Tech’s web site that contained a lot of good information on Web Interface Design.
As an aside, Georgia found an interesting site called CopyScape from one of the links that I gave you yesterday. It’s a site to find copies of your content on the web. How cool is that?!
