Have You Checked for Updates Lately?

March 23rd, 2005 | 1 Comment | Posted in CSS, Firefox Extensions, XHTML & Coding

I have encouraged all of you to download and install some of the powerful extensions that are available for Firefox. Did you know that you can check to see if there are updated versions of your currently installed extensions from within Firefox? Click Tools > Extensions, select the extension you would like to update and click the Update button. If there is an update available you’ll be prompted to install it.

If you haven’t installed Firefox extensions yet, you can learn more about extensions and other cool Firefox features in my tutorial Using Mozilla Firefox

Andrew, leftjustified.net, recommended that we visit the codingforums.com. Looks like a very active forum with a lot of great information! Andrew also mentioned that we should be sure to view the source code of his site-in-an-hour files since they are heavily commented with useful information. Thank you Andrew!

Also check for updates to Firefox itself. If there’s a red icon close to the search box (top right) hover or click it to see if it means there’s an update.

BTW — fireFTP was very much easier to use than WS-FTP. Sadly, it no longer works right in the latest versions of FF. Please uninstall it if you find it on your workstation.

    Regards. David.
