CSS Filters and Hacks

March 17th, 2005 | No Comments | Posted in CSS

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Dithered.com has a huge listing of CSS filters and hacks. The site includes browser support tables, non-validating hacks, and links to additional information on each hack. This is another site worth bookmarking.

Andy Budd & Jeremy Keith have a great “CSS slideshow” on How to Bluff Your Way in CSS. This is from their presentation at the SXSW Conference (South by Southwest) on 3/12. In Firefox you can easily take a look at the CSS used to control this wonderful presentation with the Edit CSS browser extension.

Adactio has an article on CSS Based Design that outlines the “whys” and the “hows” of CSS based design. This is a great article to read if you are just beginning your CSS unit or if when I’m talking to class about standards, XHTML, and CSS my words are soaing right over your head. ;) Actually, it’s worth reading even if you’ve already finished your CSS unit. There are other articles and Photoshop Actions that you may want to check out at this site.

Digital Web Magazine has an article on Easy-peasy PHP. This is a nice introductory article on PHP for those of you who are yearning to learn more about this powerful language.
