Joomla and WordPress Units Now Available
The Joomla unit is done. We will be using Joomla! A User’s Guide as the course text. Because the software version of Joomla! has changed since the book was written, I have written extensive notes on the assignment sheet to accompany the book. The second edition of the book is supposed to release Q1/Q2 2009. Until then you can use the first edition along with my notes if you are interested in learning Joomla!
The WordPress unit is almost complete, but I feel that students can start on this unit now. We will be using a combination of books including WordPress for Dummies to cover the core fundamentals of WordPress and WordPress Theme Design to learn how to create custom themes/styles for your blog.
Both of these applications can be installed via cPanel/Fantastico. There is no need to download either software package. Installation directions are included on each assignment sheet. Each application should be installed in a subdirectory of public_html – Fantastico will automatically create the directory for you.
I would recommend that you complete the WordPress unit first.

Hi Robin,
In my job search I came across the following and did not know if you were aware of its benefit.
Cheers,
