A standalone version of IE7 beta 2 preview is now available from Jon Galloway.

At the same time I discovered that my lovely standalone versions of IE 5 are up the creek. It seems that Micro$oft, continuing their policy of creating user-hostile software, broke the IE standalone mode with their IE6 cumulative update.

So now I dare not change any of my CSS, carefully crafted with conditional comments to take care of various bugs in IE 5.5 and IE 5.01. Sob!

More CSS bug reports at Project Seven.

[aside type="optimistic"] With luck, the publicity about these bugs will push Micro$oft to fix them before the final release.[/aside]
